Job description:

• Research Group: ECOTOX  (www.ecotox.gal ) (University of Vigo, Galicia, Spain) 
• Full-time position (40 h/week) starting by April 2023
• Duration: 1 year (6 months trial period) 
• Salary: up to 30.000 € /year (gross salary+contract costs) depending on qualification

Tasks:

• Coordination of the Ecotox team activities within the Glaukos H2020 Project
• Communications and meetings with other partners
• Reporting project results, milestones and deliverables to Coordinator
• Project administration, project accounting, and contact with suppliers. 
• Assistance in searching for further funding opportunities and preparation of proposals.

Requirements: 

• Experience (min 1 year) in research management in international environments
• Excellent communication skills; fluent English and Spanish speaker
• Good knowledge of environmental toxicology 
• Good knowledge of the EU research funding schemes
•  Knowledge of web editing will be an asset

Postdoc researcher for RESPONSE-Ecotox (closed)

The ECOTOX research team (EcoCost; CIM-UVigo) offers a contract, within the framework of the European project RESPONSE (https://www.response-jpioceans.eu/).

Job description:

• Research Group: ECOTOX  (www.ecotox.gal ) (University of Vigo, Galicia, Spain)
• Full-time position (40 h/week) starting no later than 1^st Nov 2021
• Duration: 1 year extendible
• Salary: up to 30.000 € /year (gross salary) depending on qualification

Tasks:

• Laboratory research on ecotoxicology of microplastics using marine experimental models
• Laboratory research on effects of polymers and plastic additives on model aquatic organisms at the molecular level (gene expression, omics).
• Preparation of manuscripts and reports
• Dissemination activities: assistance to international congresses, popular science.

Requirements:

• PhD in biology, environmental sciences or alike
• Experience in experimental aquatic ecotoxicology.
• Broad experience in writing scientific papers
• Fluent English speaker
• Capability to conduct animal testing according to EU regulations (Directive 2010/63/EU, ECC/566/2015)

• Fix term contract for 2 years (6 months trial period), extendible
• Salary: up to 35.000 € /year (gross pay) depending on qualification

Tasks:

• Management of LABPLAS H2020 project:
  • Communications and meetings with other partners to follow up milestones and deliverables
  • Assistance to the Project Coordinator

The ECOTOX research group (EcoCost; CIM-UVigo) is offering a fix term contract, in the frame of the european project GLAUKOS - Circular Solution for the Textile Industry (BBI-JU, H2020), Grant Agreement Nº 887711.

Job description: 

• Full-time position (40 h/week)
• Starting date: January 2021
• Fix term contract for 2,5 years, i.e 30 months (6 months trial period)
• Salary: up to 25.000 € /year (gross pay) depending on qualification.

Requirements:

• Advanced vocational training, spelialized in Aquaculture

• Experience in fish farming of Cyprinodon variegatus

• A/B qualification to conduct animal testing, according to EU regulations (Directive 2010/63/EU, Orden ECC/566/2015).

• Professional experience in similar positions

• Organizational skills

• Experience in breeding of larval fishes

• Knowledge in assembly of Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) installations

• Telematic assistance in aquaculture facilities

• Experience in Aquariology

• Other qualifications in transport and animal welfare.

• Basic knowledge of pathological fish diagnosis.
