Plastics Europe’s Microplastics Scientific Workshop 2023

Prof Ricardo Beiras presented an overview of the LABPLAS Project task on modelling human uptake of microplastics via the food chain at the Plastics Europe’s Microplastics Scientific Workshop, which took place on May 8th and May 9th at Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The focus of the workshop was on exposure to microplastics, covering a range of related topics, including sources, the presence of microplastics in different types of matrices and samples, and modelling tools. The aim was to encourage constructive and dynamic discussions among industry professionals and scientists working in the field of microplastics. It provides a platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas, enabling participants to broaden their perspectives and gain new insights.
